Why I’m Doubling Down on Speaking Engagements in 2025

Last month, I hosted a book launch, and a week later, I got this email from the author:

"I have to say how brilliant you were at creating a sense of conversation, give and take, listening and responding last week. The host for this [other interview] simply followed a script… it felt like a bad job interview for a company that I’d never want to work for. So thanks for being so good at what you do."

After crying for 15mins (that's such a nice thing to say to someone!) I decided, that's it! I'm going hunting for more speaking engagements in 2025.

And I'm reaching out here for your help.

🌟 Personal Branding: With the rapid rise of AI-generated content, I'm predicting a return to the personal and the individual–personal branding will be a defining factor in business growth in 2025. As the host of the The Firm's 'Statement Brand' podcast (and once, 'The Personal Brand Podcast'), I can share insights on building a personal brand that resonates in this new landscape.

🔥 Branding: I've seen branding evolve over ~15yrs and recently noticed a distinct thirst for strong brand identities. In flooded, AI-emboldened markets, a brand is the only thing you can truly own anymore. A memorable one will set you apart and open doors.

📈 Content Marketing: I've been telling stories online for 15 years—through music, writing, design, videos, podcasts, and more! Crafting compelling narratives and delivering authentic content is the way to connect with audiences and drive meaningful engagement in 2025.

🏳️‍🌈 Bisexuality & Advocacy: Despite bi folks making up 68% of LGBTQ+ community and bi+ identification tripling every generation, we are still excluded from funding, health initiatives, government protections, media narratives, and more. As the co-host of Give It To Me Bi and part of the Sydney Bi+ Network Leadership Team, I want to share stories and insights about how we can turn this into a story of hope through community and connection.
